How To Batch Social Media Content (with 25+ FREE content ideas!)

The Best Way to Stay on Top of the Social Media Game (for Wedding Pros)

Hey friends! You’ve found yourself on the blog of a social media manager for luxury wedding professionals. But you already knew that, didn’t you? In fact, you’re here because you need some extra help.

Running a business is tough - running a luxury wedding business is even harder. You’re responding to inquiries, getting on consultation calls, and showing up for every event. Oh, and also staying on top of social media.

It’s A LOT.

If you feel like you’re constantly behind, and are scrambling to slap a reel together… it’s time to change something. Here is my favorite way to stay on top of across social media platforms. And this is coming from a professional social media manager. I am posting on multiple accounts across the industry. So you know this tip is gonna be good.

Start 👏 Batching 👏 Your 👏 Content! 👏

What does this mean? So glad you asked.

What is Batch Content Creation? Only The Best Idea Ever.

You’ve probably seen lots of influencers talk about batching content. But no one’s really explained it to you. Or if they have, they haven't made it specific to wedding pros like you! That’s why I'm here.

Batching your content simply means taking one day (or a few days, depending on your need) solely dedicated to creating social media content.

This means taking those behind-the-scenes videos from past weddings and creating a reel. It means taking time to make a carousel post. It's filming videos about your industry, thoughts, and services. It means understanding that social media can be your biggest ally - if you invest some time into it!

Why I (As A Social Media Manager) Recommend Batching Your Content

I recommend batching content to all of my clients. Some batch their content a week in advance, and some batch it a month in advance. It’s entirely up to you! But here’s why I recommend it so strongly, especially to luxury wedding vendors!

  • Saves time and energy (And God knows every wedding vendor needs more time and energy! Especially during busy season)

  • Ensures a more cohesive and strategic online presence

  • Makes for higher-quality posts. (Don’t pretend the infographic you made at midnight last night didn’t have at least one typo)

  • Allows you to post more consistently. This helps you connect with clients and use the algorithm to your advantage

  • You’re not scrambling, so you can show up authentically on your stories

  • You can also take off without worrying about your engagement completely falling off. You’ve already created content for that time!

How To Batch Create Your Wedding Industry Content

Okay, now that you understand what batching content is and why I recommend it, I’m going to show you how.

The first step is determining your ideal client. You need to know who you’re trying to reach before you can decide how you want to reach them.

Are you a luxury wedding planner looking for high-end engaged couples to work with? Are you a wedding and elopement photographer looking for adventurous, down-to-earth, out-of-the-box people? Are you a wedding venue in the mountains of Colorado looking for vendors to work with?

Before you do anything else, you need to know who your ideal client is. Every social media strategy stems from this.

Next, you need to decide on your content pillars. When I work with wedding pros, I usually pick three to five content pillars. These are categories of content that most of your posts will fall under.

For instance, a wedding photographer might have these three content pillars:

  1. Showcasing their work. Do this by posting fully edited photos, reels that share lots of pictures from the wedding, and stories showing sneak peeks!

  2. Testimonials. A great way to connect with ideal clients is by sharing the words of past clients who have had a good experience. This establishes them as a trustworthy authority.

  3. Behind the Scenes. They could film the way they work with a newly married couple during the first look. They could also include videos of editing, or show before-and-after shots of their latest work.

Plan which days you’re going to post. Believe it or not, you don’t need to post multiple times a day to establish a prominent presence on social media. Instead, decide how many times a week you want to post. Then, post on those days every week.

Consistency will take you so much farther than pumping out meaningless content for the sake of posting.

Prep your posts. This is the actual batching part. On whatever day you’ve set aside to focus on your social media strategy, make your posts and save them.

Pro Tip: Do not save your posts within Instagram itself. Instagram is notorious for glitching and losing prepped content. Instead, use programs like Notion and Asana. Here, you can include your media, pre-write your caption, and assign it to the proper day!

Then, you can either copy and paste the correct content on the day you want to post. Or use other apps like the Meta Suite to schedule and post your content for you!
